Last.fm magically started working for me!
Well, last night, like I said I would in my last post, I gave Last.fm another try. I installed it, did everything correctly, yadda, yadda yadda, and it still didn’t work. The dude that moderates the forums there told me to wait a few hours, so I gave it twenty-four. When I came back to it tonight, it worked. This makes Paul very happy.
Now, I already know that Last.fm servers aren’t very stable/trustworthy, so i’m not going to incorporate any real data into this blog, unfortunately, but at least now, for those who are interested, I can link to my Last.fm page and people can see what I’ve been listening to if they so desire.
Perhaps one day this service will be a bit more reliable, but then again, you get what you pay for. Maybe Google or Yahoo! will buy this company and give it some decent servers or something. Here’s hoping.
This Monday, when I’m off, I will find a place to put a little Last.fm image to link to my profile. It will probably go above the ‘Recommended’ links section, and I will move the ‘About’ teaser up to the top. Until then, here’s a link: http://www.last.fm/user/paul_johns/
